Murphy takes first feature down the aisle.
12 May 2008

The first feature from TVC Director Paul Murphy hits New Zealand cinema screens this week. SECOND HAND WEDDING is a heart-warming tale set in a time when Trade-Me and e-bay threaten the primeval urge for a first-hand crack at the second-hand. Jill keeps the dream alive until she is forced to confront the habit of a lifetime and concede that no bargain is worth her daughter's happiness. Paul Murphy comes from a family of prolific film makers, including his father Geoff Murphy who made the iconic kiwi movie GOODBYE PORK PIE and brothers Miles and Matt.
Paul remarked 'What got me excited about the project was the initial script Nick Ward had written and the opportunity to cast and work with seasoned New Zealand actors who know their craft. With a great script, great cast and awesome crew we had a lot of fun bringing this story to life and I believe the film reflects that."
SECOND HAND WEDDING is an intimate, endearing look at the relationships within and around a middle New Zealand family. It stars Geraldine Brophy, Patrick Wilson, Holly Shanahan, Ryan O'Kane and Tina Regtien.
SECOND HAND WEDDING is an independently produced film shot mainly on the idyllically beautiful Kapiti Coast of New Zealand. The story centres on the Rose Family and the ripples their personal lives have on a small community. It's a story of family and friends where the changes in their lives that can so quickly divide can just as quickly bring them back together again. Critics and audiences across the country are falling for this film 'I loved it, it's a must see. Geraldine Brophy's performance is an Oscar winner Paul Holmes " Newstalk ZB " Like fish and chips on the beach, Second-Hand Wedding is a heart-warming and tasty Kiwi treat." - Sebastian Van Der Zwan - NZ Women's Weekly
Paul is available for TVC work through Flying Start Pictures and he promises to do nothing second-hand.

Mission Accomplished
13 Dec 2007
Publicis Mojo came looking for Tom Reilly after admiring the Brazilian effect he used in his Pulp spot. They had a fab script by Loic and Natalie that became his next major mission. Tom spent many a long night manipulating clay, resin and wire to create some beautiful vignettes. The Toybox team were then commissioned to add some snappy CGI. The result: a beautiful and effective, 6 x TVC campaign for a great cause: Auckland City Mission 2007 Xmas Appeal.

Grass Is Greener

When the advertising industry makes front page news it's often for the wrong reasons. So when the Sunday Star Times recently ran an article on the front of the business section about the GO DAIRY television campaign from Verdict Advertising for Dairy InSight it was pleasing to read that the news was all good.
Dairy InSight is an organisation charged with attracting new blood to the labour starved dairy industry. With record numbers of contenders responding to the commercials and willing to make massive changes in their lives the GO DAIRYING campaign has been judged to be incredibly successful.
FSP Director Rob McLaughlin has been donning the gummies for this campaign for 3 years now and he has once again excelled at capturing these real life stories about the great advantages of life in the country. Get in behind!
