FLYING START offers a complete service for Film, RED and High Definition Line Production in New Zealand, and down here is definitely a great place to come and shoot! We are a small country with an incredibly beautiful landscape. It's been said that there's every location on Earth right here.
New Zealand enjoys a sub-tropical climate in the North and a stunning alpine environment in the South. You can be on a sun-soaked sandy beach in the morning and then within 4 hours be on a stunning volcanic mountain shooting in the snow. Our seasons are the opposite to that of the Northern Hemisphere. Everything's readily accessible, and with the great Kiwi 'CAN DO' attitude, anything's possible.
And if you are heading to the tropical South Pacific Islands then Auckland makes a great production base. When shooting in New Zealand you will benefit from a favourable exchange rate, the latest equipment and techniques and the best crews - some say the best in the world. We work a standard shoot day of 10-hours and don't penalize for weekend work. We will scout amazing locations, help find you reasonably priced talent, and secure the best possible crew for you.
In fact, we can manage all aspects of your visit to New Zealand. We will strive to provide a smooth and efficient production path while looking for the most creative, dynamic and cost-effective solutions to your production requirements. We are extremely budget conscious. Also it is very important to us that you enjoy your stay so we will always make sure you have plenty of fun.
We provide full financial accounting and reporting services, along with advice on local taxation and Goods and Services tax (GST of 12.5%).
FLYING START has excellent working relationships with the best film crews and top equipment providers in New Zealand and due to our large volume of work is able to pass on our preferential supplier arrangements. Our experience extends across all capture formats including 35mm, 16mm and RED. FLYING START take the greatest care when managing your files, rushes and transfers.
